 RACE 1:  CLASS 5 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

PEGASUS VICTORY was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon. Acting on veterinary advice, the Race Meeting Stewards ordered its withdrawal. In terms of MRA Regulation 24.2, it must be presented to an Official Veterinary Surgeon prior to being declared to race again.

SAFIN (App YY Oon) jumped outwards at the start making contact with GOLD POOL (M Suhaimi).

SIR EXCELLENCE (App JL Li) raced keenly in the backstraight.

Near the 100m, COFFEE KID (J Moreira) momentarily steadied off the heels of KNIGHT KINGDOM (App SH Low), which rolled inwards.

The Farrier reported that SIMPSON (J Saimee) returned having cast its near-fore plate.

 RACE 2:  RESTRICTED MAIDEN - 1100M (POLYTRACK)

MR MAGIC (YF Leong) was slow into stride.

CITY LAD (J Verenzuela) jumped away awkwardly.

YARRADALE STAR (M Ewe) was crowded on jumping between DRAGON SPIRIT (O Placais) and HARD TRUTHS (D Beasley), which bumped inwards by PRIMITIVE INSTINCT (App SH Low).

Shortly after passing the 800m, INDICIO (J Saimee) got its head up when being steadied off the heels of DRAGON SPIRIT.

YARRADALE STAR and PRIMITIVE INSTINCT both raced wide throughout.

The Farrier reported that DRAGON SPIRIT returned having cast its off-fore plate.

Jockey Ewe, the rider of YARRADALE STAR, reported that his horse was not striding out freely. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.

CHINESE TYCOON (KB Soo) was impounded for routine veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 3:  CLASS 4, DIV 2 - 1400M

Prior to the running of Race 3, Trainer C Brown advised the Stewards that his instructions to Jockey R Stewart, the rider of CHIVE BLOOM, if circumstances permit, to go forward and lead if possible.

Prior to the running of Race 3, Trainer D Hill advised the Stewards that his instructions to Jockey I Saifudin, the rider of ALL THE BEST, if circumstances permit, to settle back and attempt to obtain cover.

HAPPINESS COME (M Hairin) was slow to begin.

RAVOUX (R Woodworth) jumped away awkwardly.

Over the concluding stages, ALL THE BEST, which was making ground, had to be eased when held up on the heels of GUIDED LIGHT (App TH Koh).

RUSSIAN ROULETTE (YF Leong), which raced poorly, will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

 RACE 4:  GRADUATION - 1600M
CARIBBEAN MOON (J Moreira) jumped away awkwardly.
 RACE 5:  CLASS 5 - 1000M (POLYTRACK)

THREE KINGS (M Suhaimi), which was fractious in the barrier, was taken out, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. In view of its previous record and as THREE KINGS is a repeat offender, it will be barred from racing or entering for a test trial for a period of fourteen days, after which it must pass two consecutive starting stall tests.

SPEEDY PHIL (App R Shafiq) was fractious in the barrier. In view of its previous record and as SPEEDY PHIL is a repeat offender, it will be barred from racing or entering for a test trial for a period of one month, after which it must pass two consecutive starting stall tests.

MAGIC DIVA (S Anandan) jumped awkwardly inwards and made contact with the hindquarters of BULL SHOT (M Zaki).

DOUBLE S (M Ewe) and TYPHOON UNO (App JL Li) were both crowded shortly after the start between WONDER GENERAL (App M Yap), which rolled outwards and SPEEDY PHIL, which rolled inwards.

Passing the 800m, SPEEDY PHIL got its head up when racing keenly.

DOUBLE S raced wide throughout.

TYPHOON UNO and WONDER GENERAL both hung outwards making the turn into the straight.

App Yap, the rider of WONDER GENERAL, reported that his horse was not striding out freely. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.

SPEEDY PHIL was impounded for routine veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 6:  CLASS 3 - 1600M (POLYTRACK)

CORSAGE (S John), which jumped away awkwardly losing considerable ground, will be required to pass one starting stall test prior to being declared to race again in terms of MRA Rule 78(2).

FLANEUR (V Sivan) proved difficult to settle in the early and middle stages.

CORSAGE laid outwards under pressure over the concluding stages.

 RACE 7:  CLASS 5 - 2200M

POLE POLE (M Zaki), which was slightly slow to begin, was inconvenienced when IRISH FLASH (J Saimee) jumped awkwardly outwards.

Shortly after the start, MONSOON BREAK (App SH Low) shifted inwards and away from NOTHEREFORNOODLES (R Woodworth) and in so doing, bumped ALL DRAMA (R Stewart) in onto COUNTER PUNCH (App R Shafiq).

CONQUEST (J Powell) hung outwards in the early and middles stages.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on FLYING CLIPPER (J Moreira) which revealed no apparent abnormality.

MIURA (O Placais) impounded for routine veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported no apparent abnormality.

BOOM TOWN (YF Leong), which raced poorly, will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

 RACE 8:  BENCHMARK 97 - 1000M (POLYTRACK)

Shortly after the start, RUN FOR THE HILLS (R Stewart) lost ground when crowded between FANTASTIC OWNERS (R Woodworth), which rolled inwards and ARGY BARGY (B Vorster), which was carried outwards by POWERFUL TREE (D Beasley).

Near the 800m, PRIMERA ESPADA (J Moreira), which was inclined to lay inwards, bumped with FANTASTIC OWNERS on a number of occasions. PRIMERA ESPADA then raced wide from then on.

MR TIMELY (J Verenzuela) hung outwards over the final 150m.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that ARGY BARGY bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed a bleeder’s test.

 RACE 9:  CLASS 5 - 1600M (POLYTRACK)

App R Shafiq, the rider of VITALICO, was fined a sum of S$200 for negligence in terms of MRA Rule 152(5)(a) in that he failed to submit his request to ride VITALICO without claiming his full allowance within the prescribed time at Declarations.

Prior to the start, VITALICO was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race.

ANAK KROKOP (App J Farook) was slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly.

VITALICO was impounded for routine veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 10:  MANDAI CLASSIC STAKES - 2200M

TELL A TALE (O Placais) lost ground after jumping away awkwardly.

Shortly after the start, GORDON ROBERTS (R Woodworth) and HONEST BROKER (R Stewart) bumped.

Near the 1600m, HINT (V Sivan) commenced to race keenly and for a short distance, made contact with POWER BLITZ (J Saimee).

Jockey Placais, the rider of TELL A TALE, reported that his horse was not striding out freely. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed that the horse returned lame off-fore. TELL A TALE will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

POWER BLITZ was impounded for routine veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 11:  NOVICE - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

BIONIC WARRIOR (App TH Koh) was slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly.

Passing the 1000m, DADDY COOL (J Moreira) checked when racing to the inside of WARSPIRIT (App R Shafiq) and JAZZ IT UP (R Woodworth). An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

BIONIC WARRIOR proved extremely difficult to settle in the backstraight.

MILIK (J Saimee) and NO REASON (S John) both raced wide throughout.

JAZZ IT UP laid inwards passing the 200m.

Jockey Saimee, the rider of MILIK, reported that his horse returned lame near-fore. A subsequent veterinary examination confirmed this. MILIK will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

 RACE 12:  CLASS 4, DIV 1 - 1400M

Shortly after the start, HUMOR TOWN (S John) steadied off the heels of BY LAW (B Vorster), which shifted inwards.

Approaching the 1300m, NOT MY FAULT (R Woodworth) and SUPREME GENERAL (YF Leong) both raced tight to the inside of LOOK AT ME (J Saimee), which was inclined to lay inwards.

Approaching the 1000m, ZAC STAR DESTROYER (O Placais) commenced to overrace and had to be continually restrained off the heels of CHASE ME (J Verenzuela).

Passing the 300m, BY LAW had to be taken outwards across the heels of BOUNDLESS GLORY (R Stewart), which laid inwards in order to obtain a clear run.

LOOK AT ME had a tendency to lay inwards in the straight.

HOPKINS (J Moreira) had difficulty obtaining a clear run in the early part of the straight and near the 100m, had to be momentarily steadied off the heels of CHASE ME, which was shifting ground when racing greenly.

Jockey D Beasley, the rider of MARKET ON OPEN, reported that his horse was making respiratory noises. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality. MARKET ON OPEN, which raced poorly, will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

RACE 1 [TF1393]
At the conclusion of an inquiry on Sunday, 30 October 2011, App J Farook, the rider of REVERSE TAKEOVER, in the presence of his Master, Trainer HW Tan, was found guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding REVERSE TAKEOVER in Race 1 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Friday, 21 October 2011, shortly after the start, he made insufficient effort to straighten his mount, thereby hampering and crowding COMMANCE (J Moreira) onto AMAZON BOY (D Beasley). When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record and the degree of interference and carelessness. App Farook was suspended from riding in races with effect from Monday, 31 October 2011 to Sunday, 06 November 2011 both dates inclusive (two Race Days) and was advised of his right of appeal.
