 RACE 1:  CLASS 5, DIV 1 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

ONE MORE ACHIEVER (CW Brown) began awkwardly.

HARDCORE ROCK (App M Jailani) jumped awkwardly inwards bumping JIMTOWN (App TR Barnabas).

SPEED CRAFT (N Juglall) jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped GRAND SEVEN SEAS (A Munro) in onto CONGO ZANDOR (R Woodworth), which had been bumped outwards by DYNASTY KNIGHT (App T See). As a result, GREAT NINTH (S John) and CONGO ZANDOR became unbalanced. SPEED CRAFT then had to be eased off the heels of ZAC COMMAND (M Nunes), which shifted inwards.

Shortly after the start, GREAT NINTH was inconvenienced by BANKERS CALL (App Y Ruzaili), which shifted inwards.

CONGO ZANDOR and SPEED CRAFT both raced wide throughout.

Near the 500m, GREAT NINTH steadied after becoming awkwardly placed between ONE MORE ACHIEVER and EAGLE SOAR (App M Khalid).

In the early part of the straight, ONE MORE ACHIEVER was taken wider on the track by HAPPY SAGA (A Da Silva), which shifted outwards when attempting to improve its position.

ZAC COMMAND and BANKERS CALL raced tightly in the early part of the straight, brushing on a number of occasions.

Near the 100m, SPEED CRAFT and ZAC COMMAND both checked when racing between HAPPY SAGA and BANKERS CALL. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

App T See, the rider of DYNASTY KNIGHT, reported that the Tongue-Tie came off from his horse during the race.

 RACE 2:  RESTRICTED MAIDEN - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

SUPERTEN (M Zaki), which was fractious in the barrier and became cast, was taken out and examined by the Veterinary Surgeon. Acting on veterinary advice that SUPERTEN was lame off-fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 1328Hrs. SUPERTEN must requalify in an Official Race Trial and pass a veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

NOVA MASTER (App Z Zuriman), which was slow to begin, shifted inwards abruptly after the start losing further ground.

BANDIDO (A Munro), which began awkwardly, was then inconvenienced by RED JEWEL (B Vorster), which shifted outwards and away from BAIL OUT (E Aslam), which jumped awkwardly outwards.

Approximately 50m after the start, PANACHE (M Nunes) mis-strode.

Shortly after the start, IN BOCCA AL LUPO (App J See) shifted outwards and bumped ELITE STAR (J Powell) out onto NOBLE CRAFTSMAN (CW Brown).

Near the 900m, CERDAN (A Da Silva) shifted inwards bumping the hindquarters of PANACHE, unbalancing that gelding.

CERDAN raced wide throughout.

Near the 200m, IN BOCCA AL LUPO steadied off the heels of ELITE STAR, which shifted inwards under pressure.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on NOVA MASTER which revealed no apparent abnormality.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on PANACHE which revealed no apparent abnormality. PANACHE, which raced poorly, will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

 RACE 3:  CLASS 4 - 1100M (POLYTRACK)

Prior to the running of Race 3, Trainer HW Tan advised the Stewards that his instructions to Jockey O Chavez, the rider of SMART PEOPLE, if circumstances permit, to try and ride in a forward position.

App J See, the rider of RED ANT, was fined a sum of S$200 for negligence in terms of MRA Rule 152(5)(a) in that he failed to claim and ride at his declared riding weight.

JOE SWIPER (A Munro) lost ground after beginning awkwardly.

SMART PEOPLE began awkwardly.

Near the 800m, SMART PEOPLE, which was racing keenly, steadied outwards across the heels of METAPHOR (A Da Silva), which shifted inwards.

RED ANT raced wide throughout.

Approaching the 300m, SMART PEOPLE shifted inwards and bumped METAPHOR.

SMART PEOPLE and METAPHOR raced tightly and brushed on a number of occasions between the 200m until near the 100m.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on JOE SWIPER which revealed no apparent abnormality.

Trainer ZL Mok, when questioned regarding the improved performance of RED ANT, stated that since the gelding’s last race, they have been doing some barrier work in order to get RED ANT to begin better as it has been beginning slowly in races. He added that with a better start, RED ANT was able to travel in a more forward position today. He further added that the gelding appreciated the return to the Polytrack and whilst up in grade, he believed that the field was weaker than what it had met at its most recent outings. His explanation was noted.

 RACE 4:  MAIDEN - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

App J See, the rider of AMISTAD, was fined a sum of S$200 for negligence in terms of MRA Rule 152(5)(a) in that he failed to claim and ride at his declared riding weight.

Permission was granted for Jockey I Saifudin to replace Jockey M Kellady on EFFORTLESS as the latter was unable to make the weight. Jockey Kellady was subsequently fined a sum of S$200 in terms of MRA Rule 107(9).

EFFORTLESS was restless in the barrier. Trainer S Baertschiger was advised that a warning has been placed on EFFORTLESS regarding its barrier manners and to take steps to improve them or action may be taken in future.

RED COFFEE (M Au) jumped awkwardly outwards and made heavy contact with FALKIRK LEAD (A Munro), which then bumped heavily with EFFORTLESS, resulting in all three horses becoming unbalanced. RED COFFEE was then bumped by JOYOUS (N Juglall), resulting in RED COFFEE shifting outwards and crowding FALKIRK LEAD out onto the hindquarters of EFFORTLESS, unbalancing that gelding.

SWAN SONG (M Nunes) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped FORTUNE SPIRIT (App R Rueven) out onto ARCTIC ROLL (B Vorster).

SUPERB SEVEN (A Da Silva) veered outwards abruptly after the start and raced wide for some distance thereafter.

RED COFFEE proved difficult to settle in the early stages.

AMISTAD, which raced wide throughout, raced keenly in the early stages.

CONFEIGN (O Chavez) hung outwards from the 800m.

After passing the 500m, CONFEIGN was bumped by OLLIE EAGLE (App K A’Isisuhairi), which was carried outwards by RED COFFEE.

Approaching the 400m, CONFEIGN had to be checked to avoid the heels of OLLIE EAGLE, which shifted outwards after becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of SUPERB SEVEN, which was tiring.

Near the 100m, OLLIE EAGLE shifted outwards abruptly inconveniencing FORTUNE SPIRIT, carrying that gelding wider on the track.

The Farrier reported that OLLIE EAGLE returned having cast its off-fore plate.

Subsequent veterinary examinations were requested on both AGUILA AZTECA (App CK Ng) and CONFEIGN which revealed no apparent abnormality.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on RED COFFEE which revealed no apparent abnormality. RED COFFEE, which raced poorly, will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

 RACE 5:  KRANJI STAKES D - 1000M (POLYTRACK)

Acting on veterinary advice that LOYALTY’S ANGEL (App N Alfian) was found to have sustained a cut in its near-hind fetlock, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 1252Hrs. In terms of MRA Regulation 24.2, it must be presented to an Official Veterinary Surgeon prior to being declared to race again.

ENLIGHTEN KNIGHT (S John) was slow into stride.

GALLANT HEIGHTS (I Saifudin) began awkwardly.

DRAGON GOLD (App R Rueven) blundered on jumping.

Shortly after the start, BEAUTIFUL WORLD (R Woodworth) eased to avoid the heels of GALLANT HEIGHTS, which shifted inwards.

HONEST TRUTH (KB Soo) and BEAUTIFUL WORLD both raced wide throughout.

Near the 100m, IMPERIAL BOY (App J See), which was shifting inwards, had to be eased away from the heels of YIN JIE (App Y Salim), which rolled outwards under pressure. Shortly thereafter, IMPERIAL BOY shifted outwards and bumped DRAGON GOLD.

For the majority of the homestraight, GALLANT HEIGHTS had a tendency to lay inwards under pressure.

App T See reported that BLACK MAMBA was not striding out freely.  A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 6:  CLASS 5, DIV 2 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

BLACK DIAMOND (App K Toh) and GRAVLAX (App R Rueven) were both slow to begin.

CHIPS (A Da Silva) and SACRED CROWN (B Vorster) made contact on jumping.

CHIPS, JACKPOT (E Aslam) and SACRED CROWN all raced wide throughout.

REAL HERO (App TR Barnabas) was held up for clear running from the 550m until after passing the 400m.

I’M KOOL (App CC Wong) was held up rounding the hometurn.

Near the 250m, I’M KOOL checked when racing to the inside of STATE TROOPER (N Juglall) and SUVARNABHUMI (CW Brown). An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

Approaching the 250m, SUVARNABHUMI became unbalanced after being galloped on by REAL HERO.

For the majority of the homestraight, CHIPS laid outwards under pressure and in so doing, made contact with SACRED CROWN, carrying that gelding wider on the track.

App R Rueven reported that GRAVLAX was not striding out freely.  A subsequent veterinary examination revealed that the horse returned with a cut on its near-fore leg.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on SUVARNABHUMI which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 7:  KRANJI STAKES D, DIV 2 - 1600M (POLYTRACK)

SWIFT (App T See) began awkwardly.

XZUBERANCE (CW Brown) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped BEST LIFE (B Vorster) out onto SINGSURAT (App K A’Isisuhairi), which in turned bumped BORDEAUX (A Da Silva).

YU LONG GLORIOUS (M Au) was slow to begin.

Shortly after the start, MR TRY (S Sam), which was slow into stride, had to be eased to avoid the heels of PURMAMARCA (R Woodworth), which shifted outwards.

FRANCES (App R Rueven) raced keenly in the early stages.

Near the 1400m, MR TRY, which was proving difficult to settle, shifted outwards and bumped FRANCES. MR TRY continued to race keenly for some distance thereafter.

Near the 1200m, FRANCES shifted inwards and bumped MR TRY.

YU LONG GLORIOUS raced wide throughout.

After passing the 800m, FRANCES again shifted inwards and bumped MR TRY.

MEAISIN (M Rodd) was held up for clear running from the 600m until near the 400m.

Near the 400m, MEAISIN was struck on the head by the whip of App T See, the rider of SWIFT.

Jockey Vorster reported that BEST LIFE was not striding out freely.  A subsequent veterinary examination revealed that the horse returned lame off-fore. BEST LIFE will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

Jockey Au reported that YU LONG GLORIOUS was not striding out freely.  A subsequent veterinary examination revealed that the horse returned lame off-fore. YU LONG GLORIOUS will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on FRANCES which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 8:  NOVICE - 1000M (POLYTRACK)

After arriving at the barrier, TENMA (App T See) had its saddle readjusted.

DE WANTED (App R Hasri) was restless in the barrier. Trainer ZL Mok was advised that a warning has been placed on DE WANTED regarding its barrier manners and to take steps to improve them or action may be taken in future.

TENMA was slow to begin.

SUN PIONEER (R Woodworth) jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped SATCHMO (App Z Zuriman) onto the hindquarters of CONFLIGHT (O Chavez), which was also bumped on the hindquarters by DE WANTED, which jumped awkwardly outwards, resulting in CONFLIGHT becoming very unbalanced.

Near the 900m, UNSURPASSED (M Nunes) steadied outwards to avoid the heels of CONFLIGHT, which shifted inwards. As a result, UNSURPASSED bumped DE WANTED out onto SUN PIONEER, resulting in DE WANTED becoming unbalanced and losing ground. Jockey Chavez was subsequently shown the film of the incident and warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.

DASHING (App CC Wong) raced wide throughout.

App Hasri reported that DE WANTED was not striding out freely.  A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 9:  BENCHMARK 83 - 1600M (POLYTRACK)

Near the 1200m, MIGHTY WARRIOR (CW Brown), which was racing keenly, had to be steadied off the heels of POWER PLAY (N Juglall).

FUJIN BRIGHT (A Munro) raced wide throughout.

IDEAL GUIDE (M Nunes) raced wide from the 900m.

Near the 600m, GOLIATH (M Rodd) shifted outwards to improve and in so doing, took NANDOWRA (S John) wider on the track.

Near the 350m, IDEAL GUIDE rolled inwards and made contact with HIGH BLADE (A Da Silva).

Jockey Brown, when questioned regarding the run of MIGHTY WARRIOR, stated that shortly after the start, he elected to take up a position behind EMPRESS WU (M Ewe) whom he thought would race in a forward position. He added that horses drawn wide on the track then improved in front of EMPRESS WU and as a result of this, MIGHTY WARRIOR was forced to race further back in the field than he would have liked. He further added that the gelding was able to finish the race off well. His explanation was noted. A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on MIGHTY WARRIOR which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 10:  KRANJI STAKES D, DIV 1 - 1600M (POLYTRACK)

GOLDEN PASTURE (App R Rueven) was restless in the barrier. Trainer S Yeoh was advised that a warning has been placed on GOLDEN PASTURE regarding its barrier manners and to take steps to improve them or action may be taken in future.

DASHING JACK (M Au) was slow into stride.

Shortly after the start, DASHING JACK shifted outwards slightly and made contact with the hindquarters of GOLDEN PASTURE.

DASHING JACK raced wide throughout.

Near the 800m, THEBUZZDOWNUNDER (E Aslam) mis-strode, became unbalanced, shifted outwards and bumped GOLDEN PASTURE out onto GALAXY EXPRESS (App K A’Isisuhairi).

After passing the 200m, MUSCLE BEACH (CW Brown) rolled outwards under pressure and made slight contact with BLADEMEISTER (M Nunes).

Approaching the Winning Post, MUSCLE BEACH shifted inwards under pressure and made slight contact with KNOW EACH OTHER (N Juglall). BLADEMEISTER then rolled inwards and made contact with MUSCLE BEACH.

For the majority of the homestraight, PERFECT CHALLENGER (App J See) laid inwards under pressure.

Subsequent veterinary examinations were requested on both PERFECT CHALLENGER and THEBUZZDOWNUNDER which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 11:  BENCHMARK 67 - 1600M (POLYTRACK)

NATION THEATRE (App R Firdhaus) jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped CLUTHA LAD (M Nunes).

Near the 1400m, TIP OF BORNEO (J Powell) checked when racing to the inside of SKY ELEVEN (App WS Chan) and EAGLE STORM (A Da Silva). An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

Near the 1400m, the saddle on SKY ELEVEN shifted to the off-side, resulting in its rider becoming unbalanced.

Between the 1200m and the 800m, BRING MONEY HOME (M Zaki) and SKY ELEVEN raced tightly and brushed on a number of occasions.

HOT GOLD (App K A’Isisuhairi) raced wide throughout.

Rounding the hometurn, HOT GOLD and SEED OF SPEED (CW Brown) were both taken wider on track by NATION THEATRE, which laid outwards.

Over the concluding stages, BRING MONEY HOME, which had been laying inwards for the majority of the straight, shifted outwards abruptly, resulting in its rider having to stop riding and straighten the gelding.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on TIP OF BORNEO which revealed no apparent abnormality.
