 RACE 1:  CLASS 5, DIV 1 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

DOUBLE JEOPARDY (App CK Ng) and JOHN DUKE (S Sam) bumped on jumping.

DYNASTY KNIGHT (App T See) began awkwardly.

Shortly after the start, DRAGON KING (App N Nurshahril) shifted outwards and bumped MAJOR GREEN (E Chaves), which in turn bumped GOLDEN PASTURE (App K Toh) out onto PRINCESS ZOLA (App H Syafiq), which was carried outwards and bumped heavily with CONFACET (O Chavez), which became unbalanced and turned inwards. CONFACET then became awkwardly placed on the heels of DYNASTY KNIGHT, which was laying inwards, resulting in CONFACET clipping the heels of DYNASTY KNIGHT and almost falling, losing considerable ground.

DYNASTY KNIGHT and PRINCESS ZOLA both raced wide throughout.

Near the 700m, MANHATTAN DREAM (M Kellady) eased when crowded by DOUBLE JEOPARDY, which rolled inwards. App Ng was subsequently shown the film of the incident and warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.

In the early part of the homestraight, DOUBLE JEOPARDY had difficulty obtaining clear running.

Near the 300m, CONFACET, which had a tendency to lay inwards, shifted inwards abruptly after being struck with the whip and bumped DYNASTY KNIGHT.

App H Syafiq, the rider of PRINCESS ZOLA, was fined a sum of S$500 under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for dropping his whip near the 250m.

CONFACET, which continued to lay inwards under pressure again shifted inwards near the 200m and in so doing, bumped JOHN DUKE.

Approaching the Winning Post, JOHN DUKE eased to avoid the heels of CONFACET, which rolled inwards.

Over the concluding stages, MAJOR GREEN was eased when racing close to the heels of DRAGON KING, which shifted inwards slightly.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on CONFACET which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 2:  INITIATION - 1200M

GOLDEN FORTUNE (I Saifudin) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped MAN OF POWER (App WT Chung), which had blundered on jumping.

AUSONE (K A’Isisuhairi) jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped PALTROW (E Chaves) in onto GABBAR (O Chavez), unbalancing that gelding.

DREAMER LEGEND (D Beasley) jumped inwards at the start and made contact with the hindquarters of WHOSE ELSE’S (V Duric).

Approaching the 1000m, WHOSE ELSE’S eased to avoid the heels of MAN OF POWER, which was carried outwards by PEARL (App CC Wong) when that filly shifted outwards and away from WAIPAKIHI (App R Rueven), which was shifting outwards abruptly. MAN OF POWER then shifted outwards further and inconvenienced ROYAL CHOICE (A Da Silva) carrying that gelding wider on the track.

AMAZING MAN (R Woodworth) raced wide throughout.

Near the 900m, PEARL had to be eased to avoid the heels of WAIPAKIHI, which shifted outwards when racing greenly. MAN OF POWER, which was following, had to be checked outwards to avoid the heels of PEARL. ROYAL CHOICE, which was following MAN OF POWER, had to be steadied outwards in consequence, causing that gelding to be carried very wide.

Passing the 900m, LIM’S ARCHER (CW Brown), which was racing keenly, shifted inwards and crowded AUSONE, which had to be eased.

WAIPAKIHI, which continued to race greenly, hung outwards rounding the hometurn.

Near the 400m, MAGNETISE (App CS Chin) was eased to avoid the heels of GOLDEN FORTUNE, which rolled inwards.

Near the 350m, GOLDEN FORTUNE shifted outwards abruptly and bumped DREAMER LEGEND, carrying that gelding outwards. After being corrected, GOLDEN FORTUNE shifted inwards and inconvenienced LIM’S MISSION (KB Soo).

The Farrier reported that MAGNETISE and AUSONE returned having cast their near-fore and near-hind plates respectively.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on PEARL which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 3:  CLASS 4, DIV 1 - 1100M (POLYTRACK)

When the start was effected, RIKIOH (App T See) reared and lost ground.

AMAZEALOT (App MM Firdaus) jumped awkwardly outwards.

AWESOME (R Woodworth) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced CHEETAH KING (I Saifudin).

Near the 900m, RIKIOH eased after becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of CHEETAH KING.

Passing the 800m, THE COSMOS (App CK Ng) steadied when momentarily crowded by AWESOME, which shifted inwards.

DEAUVILLE (App CC Wong) raced wide throughout.

AMAZEALOT rolled outwards rounding the hometurn and carried DEAUVILLE wider on the track.

Near the 300m, AMAZEALOT and DEAUVILLE brushed due to both horses shifting ground.

 RACE 4:  CLASS 5, DIV 1 - 1400M

GET GOING (App K Toh), which jumped awkwardly outwards, bumped SING ENERGY (App WS Chan). GET GOING then shifted inwards and made contact with MOLLY BROWNE (App CK Ng).

HARDCORE ROCK (App R Zawari) jumped awkwardly inwards at the start and bumped GUILTLESS (App H Syafiq) in onto DASHING (E Aslam), which had begun awkwardly, resulting in DASHING becoming extremely unbalanced, blundering and losing ground.

GUILTLESS was then bumped by ZENZERO (M Zaki), which shifted outwards.

Approximately 50m after the start, GUILTLESS had to be eased to avoid the heels of HARDCORE ROCK, which rolled inwards. GUILTLESS then steadied when momentarily crowded between HARDCORE ROCK and ZENZERO.

Approaching the 1200m, MOLLY BROWNE checked and GUILTLESS was hampered when racing to the inside of ZENZERO. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

After passing the 1200m, GUILTLESS, which was racing keenly, was eased across the heels of ZENZERO, which rolled inwards slightly.

Approaching the 900m, GUILTLESS was buffeted between HARDCORE ROCK and ZENZERO, which rolled outwards.

Near the 800m, GUILTLESS eased to avoid the heels of ZENZERO, which shifted outwards slightly.

After passing the 200m, HARDCORE ROCK, which was laying outwards, inconvenienced ZAC COMMAND for a short distance.

For the majority of the homestraight, SING ENERGY had a tendency to lay inwards under pressure and in so doing, near the 150m, shifted inwards across the running of EVERTRUST (App CC Wong), which had to be eased. App Chan was subsequently shown the film of the incident and warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.

Approaching the 50m, EVERTRUST had to be eased off the heels of SING ENERGY, which shifted outwards to obtain clear running.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on EVERTRUST which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 5:  CLASS 5, DIV 2 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

Prior to the running of Race 5, Trainer S Yeoh advised the Stewards that his instructions to Jockey M Zaki, the rider of RAINBOW STAR, if circumstances permit, to ride in a forward position.

REAL HERO (O Chavez), which was fractious in the barrier, will be required to pass one starting stall test prior to being declared to race again in terms of MRA Rule 78(2).

ZAC GALLANT (App CK Ng) was slow into stride.

RAINBOW STAR, which was slow into stride, was inconvenienced shortly after the start by RIO DE JANEIRO (A Da Silva), which shifted inwards after beginning awkwardly.

SO PERFECT (App MM Firdaus) began awkwardly.

Shortly after the start, SECONDWAVE (B Vorster) jumped inwards at the start and bumped REAL HERO in onto SUPER BONUS (V Duric).

Near the 1000m, RAINBOW STAR eased and RIO DE JANEIRO checked when racing to the inside of SUPER BONUS and DRAGON GOLD (App T See). An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

Near the 900m, LAM EDITION (App CC Wong) eased when crowded for room by RIO DE JANEIRO, which was taken inwards slightly by SUPER BONUS, which in turn was taken inwards slightly by DRAGON GOLD.

ZAC GALLANT raced wide throughout.

Approaching the 400m, SO PERFECT had to be eased when attempting a run where there was insufficient room between BLACK BEAN (E Chaves) and ZAC GALLANT.

For the majority of the homestraight, SUPER BONUS laid outwards under pressure.

The Farrier reported that DRAGON GOLD returned having cast its off-hind plate.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on SUPER BONUS which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 6:  KRANJI STAKES C - 1600M (POLYTRACK)

SCHILTRON (S Sam) was marginally slow to begin.

VERTICAL START (B Vorster) raced keenly in the early stages.

From the 500m until near the 350m, CLUTHA LAD (O Chavez) had difficulty obtaining clear running.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on VERTICAL START which revealed that the horse returned not striding out freely.

 RACE 7:  CLASS 5, DIV 2 - 1400M

After arriving at the barrier, YUE YUAN (App CK Ng) had its saddle readjusted.

DR N WING FIGHTERS (App R Zawari), which cast its near-fore plate, had to be reshod behind the barrier causing some delay.

BIMALA (App CC Wong) was slow into stride.

ADRENALINE (App CS Chin) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped GREENBACK (App M Khalid).

ROAN RANGER (App R Rueven) jumped awkwardly inwards and made contact with FAT FARRAND (M Zaki).

YUE YUAN, which jumped away awkwardly, then shifted inwards and made contact with BIG BANG KING (App Y Ruzaili), which also began awkwardly.

DR N WING FIGHTERS and SUVARNABHUMI (App MM Firdaus) both began awkwardly.

Shortly after the start, YUE YUAN and ROAN RANGER bumped.

FAT FARRAND raced keenly in the early stages.

ADRENALINE, FAT FARRAND and GREENBACK all raced wide throughout.

JIMTOWN (App T See) had difficulty obtaining a clear run from the 600m until the 350m.

Near the 400m, DR N WING FIGHTERS had to be eased to avoid the heels of GREENBACK, which was carried inwards by SUVARNABHUMI.

App T See, the rider of JIMTOWN, was fined a sum of S$500 under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for dropping his whip near the 300m.

Near the 250m, FAT FARRAND, which was having difficulty obtaining clear running, had to be eased to avoid the heels of SUVARNABHUMI, which shifted outwards. App MM Firdaus was subsequently shown the film of the incident and warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.

App Khalid, the rider of GREENBACK, reported that the gelding had returned with its saddle having shifted back during the race.

App Ruzaili reported that BIG BANG KING was making respiratory noises. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed that the horse returned not striding out freely and as a roarer. The Veterinary Surgeon also advised that BIG BANG KING had previously undergone corrective surgery for this condition.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on ADRENALINE which revealed that the horse returned not striding out freely.

 RACE 8:  BENCHMARK 89 - 1800M

VALBUENA (E Chaves) was slow to begin.

FUJIN BRIGHT (I Saifudin) began awkwardly.

Near the 1100m, VALBUENA and TIME ODYSSEY (CW Brown) bumped due to both horses shifting ground slightly.

VALBUENA, which raced wide throughout, was carried out wider on the track when TIME ODYSSEY shifted outwards to improve approaching the 800m.

Approaching and passing the 700m, BRILLIANT DEAL (K Fujii) and TIME ODYSSEY raced tightly and bumped on a number of occasions.

 RACE 9:  CLASS 4, DIV 2 - 1100M (POLYTRACK)

Permission was granted for App R Rueven to replace App T See on PERFECT CURIOSITY as the latter was unable to make the weight. App T See was subsequently fined a sum of S$500 in terms of MRA Rule 107(9).

Trainer HK Tan was fined a sum of S$500 for failing to ensure that PURE TACTICS (O Chavez) was in the Pre-Race Holding Area within the prescribed time in terms of MRA Rule 109(1).

Trainer M Yusof, when questioned regarding the significant increase in the body weight of LET’S TALK NOW (App I Amirul), stated that the gelding, which was having its first start for his Stable, had returned from a lengthy spell and had built up significantly during this time. Trainer Yusof was also pleased with LET’S TALK NOW’s recent trial and in his opinion, was fit to start. A Pre-Race veterinary examination passed LET’S TALK NOW fit to race.

BASTION (App R Sazali), which began awkwardly, was bumped shortly after by LET’S TALK NOW, which shifted outwards.

PERFECT CURIOSITY jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped NOVA STAR (R Shafiq) in onto MEDIA CAPTAIN (CW Brown). This resulted in NOVA STAR becoming very unbalanced and losing ground. SKY ELEVEN (App WS Chan), which was following, was hampered in consequence.

SKY ELEVEN showed no early paced despite the urgings of its rider.

Approaching the 300m, PURE TACTICS shifted outwards and bumped LET’S TALK NOW.

Approaching the Winning Post, LET’S TALK NOW and KISS ME (D Beasley) bumped due to both horses shifting ground.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on MEDIA CAPTAIN which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 10:  CLASS 4 - 1200M

SAVAGE STORM (O Chavez), BRIEFNESS (A Da Silva) and STAR STRIKE (E Chaves) were all severely crowded on jumping between ZIPPY GENERAL (K A’Isisuhairi), which jumped awkwardly inwards and ELUSIVE EMPEROR (B Vorster), which jumped awkwardly outwards.

BRIEFNESS raced keenly in the early stages.

SAVAGE STORM proved difficult to settle approaching the 800m and in so doing, had to be eased after becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of BRIEFNESS.

Approaching the 800m, DYLAN (App R Rueven) checked when racing between NORTH ATLANTIC ICE (R Shafiq) on its inside and POWER LIN (App T See) and ELUSIVE EMPEROR on its outside. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

ZIPPY GENERAL and OPTIMUS (CW Brown) both raced wide throughout.

POWER LIN was held up for clear running from the 700m until the 250m.

SECRET LIBERTY (App MM Firdaus) was held up for clear running from the 600m until the 450m.

NORTH ATLANTIC ICE was held up for clear running from the 600m until shortly after passing the 300m.

Near the 500m, SAVAGE STORM checked when racing between ZIPPY GENERAL and BRIEFNESS. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

Near the 250m, RED GENERAL (App CC Wong) checked when racing between SECRET LIBERTY on its inside and ELUSIVE EMPEROR on its outside. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

After passing the 100m, STAR STRIKE checked when racing between ZIPPY GENERAL on its outside and DYLAN and POWER LIN to its inside. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

The Farrier reported that SECRET LIBERTY returned having cast its off-hind plate.

Whilst Stewards were of the opinion that it had not affected the placings, App MM Firdaus, the rider of SECRET LIBERTY, was reminded of his obligations to ride his mount out fully to the end of the race.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on SECRET LIBERTY which revealed that the horse returned having bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed a bleeder’s test.

App Wong, when questioned regarding the performance of RED GENERAL, stated that whilst the gelding was able to lead, it was still inclined to race greenly as it had at its first start. He further added that once under pressure upon entering the homestraight, RED GENERAL was reluctant to race in amongst other runners. App Wong also added that the gelding was tightened near the 250m and after this, did not respond to his riding and in his opinion, proved disappointing. His explanation was noted. A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on RED GENERAL which revealed no apparent abnormality.
