 RACE 1:  CLASS 5, DIV 1 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

JACK OF HEARTS (R Woodworth) was slow to begin.

MASTER BANGER (K Fujii) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped SPIRIT OF SPEED (App T See). SPIRIT OF SPEED was then carried wider on the track by MASTER BANGER, which in turn was taken outwards by DR N WING FIGHTERS (App WT Chung).

Shortly after the start, HORAZ SAMOSIR (I Azhar), which jumped awkwardly outwards, shifted outwards further and bumped APPELLATION (M Rodd) out onto REAL HERO (App R Rueven).

Near the 1000m, JACK OF HEARTS checked when racing to the inside of ZAC COMMAND (App CK Ng), APPELLATION and DR N WING FIGHTERS. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

From the 900m until near the 700m, HORAZ SAMOSIR had to be steadied on a number of occasions when awkwardly placed on the heels of MISS BLANCHETT (M Nunes).

DR N WING FIGHTERS raced wide without cover throughout.

Prior to the Winning Post, ZAC COMMAND and HORAZ SAMSOIR were both crowded by MISS BLANCHETT, which shifted inwards. Jockey Nunes was subsequently shown the film of the incident and warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.

OCEAN STORY (S John), which raced poorly, will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on REAL HERO which revealed no apparent abnormality.

Trainer L Khoo, when questioned regarding the apparent improved performance of MASTER BANGER, stated that the gelding had failed previously when racing on the Turf Track over longer distances earlier in his preparation. Since realizing MASTER BANGER would be better suited to racing over shorter distances, he had kept gelding fresh in an effort to improve MASTER BANGER. Trainer Khoo added that, in his opinion, today’s field was not strong and for this reason, he gave MASTER BANGER a good chance.

 RACE 2:  RESTRICTED MAIDEN - 1200M

RAINBOW FISH (App J See) and SGFIFTY (A Da Silva) both raced wide throughout.

For the majority of the homestraight, PISTA (E Aslam) and SGFIFTY both laid inwards under pressure.

Near the 150m, NOVA MASTER (M Nunes) lost ground when reluctant to hold its position to the inside of CERTAINLY (J Powell), which rolled inwards.

After passing the 50m, NOVA MASTER shifted inwards and brushed the running rail, resulting in the gelding becoming unbalanced.

SGFIFTY and SUPER TRIPLE ACE (App WT Chung), which both raced poorly, will each be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on NOVA MASTER which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 3:  KRANJI STAKES C - 1600M

To avoid a clash with the start times of overseas simulcast races which had been rescheduled, this race was put back five minutes and rescheduled to start at 1415Hrs.

SMART LAD (App I Amirul) was slow to begin.

GREENSTONE (App MM Firdaus) began awkwardly.

Shortly after the start, BRING MONEY HOME (M Zaki) shifted inwards abruptly. Jockey Zaki was subsequently warned that he must have good control of his mount at all time.

SKY ELEVEN (A Da Silva) had a tendency to lay outwards throughout and in so doing, near the 800m, slightly crowded BRING MONEY HOME, which had to be steadied.

For the majority of the homestraight, BRING MONEY HOME laid inwards under pressure.

Approaching the 100m, SMART LAD rolled inwards and brushed the running rail on a couple of occasions.

App Amirul, the rider of SMART LAD, was warned in regards of his whip use in the vicinity of the shoulder of his mount passing the 100m.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on ALEXANDRA PALACE (B Vorster) which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 4:  INITIATION - 1200M

Due to a delay in the start time of Race 3, this race was put back five minutes and rescheduled to start at 1445rs.

Trainer ZL Mok was fined a sum of S$50 in terms of MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the correct colours on CONFACET (E Aslam).

NOVA VICTORY (App Y Salim) and OCEAN MASTER (I Azhar) both began awkwardly.

CONFACET jumped awkwardly inwards and made contact with OLLIE EAGLE (K Fujii).

Shortly after the start, OLLIE EAGLE and CONFACET were buffeted for a short distance between DAMON (KB Soo) and OCEAN MASTER, which shifted outwards.

DAMON showed no early pace despite the urgings of its rider.

OCEAN MASTER, which hung outwards throughout, proved difficult to ride. OCEAN MASTER will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial from the barrier and a veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

Near the 200m, CONFEIGN (O Chavez) was eased to avoid the heels of LUCKY COMMAND (B Vorster), which rolled inwards under pressure.

Near the 150m, App Salim, the rider of NOVA VICTORY, dropped his off-side rein which he regained shortly thereafter.

Approaching the 100m, CONFEIGN had to be steadied and change course to avoid the heels of THE JEUNEYMAN (M Rodd), which was tiring.

For the majority of the homestraight, KING OPERA (I Saifudin) laid inwards resulting in its rider having to stop riding and straighten the gelding on a number of occasions.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on OCEAN MASTER which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 5:  MAIDEN - 1600M (POLYTRACK)

Due to a delay in the start time of Race 4, this race was put back five minutes and rescheduled to start at 1515Hrs.

NOVA GLORY (M Zaki) and SPEED CRAFT (O Chavez) both were slow to begin.

REMEMBER ME (A Munro) and RAAJPOOT (A Da Silva) bumped on jumping.

Near the 1300m, RAAJPOOT was severely checked after becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of SILENT CONNECTION (App CS Chin). When being checked, RAAJPOOT shifted outwards abruptly making contact with the hindquarters of REMEMBER ME and losing considerable ground. RAAJPOOT then raced wide for the remainder of the race.

LIM’S RESPOND (KB Soo) raced keenly in the early stages.

REMEMBER ME raced wide throughout.

App Chin, the rider of SILENT CONNECTION, reported that the gelding had returned with its saddle having shifted back during the race.

Subsequent veterinary examinations were requested on both NOVA GLORY and MR BLOSSOM (App WS Chan) which revealed no apparent abnormality. NOVA GLORY and MR BLOSSOM, which both raced poorly, will each be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

 RACE 6:  CLASS 5, DIV 2 - 1200M

Prior to the running of Race 6, Trainer S Yeoh advised the Stewards that his instructions to App K Toh, the rider of RAINBOW STAR, if circumstances permit, to try and ride in a forward position.

RAINBOW STAR, which stood flat-footed and was slow to begin, will be required to pass one starting stall test prior to being declared to race again in terms of MRA Rule 78(2).

SUVARNABHUMI (CW Brown) began awkwardly.

Shortly after the start, SO PERFECT (App MM Firdaus) was momentarily crowded between RIO DE JANEIRO (A Da Silva) and GOLDEN ROSEWOOD (I Azhar), which shifted inwards.

Approaching the 1000m, SO PERFECT shifted inwards and brushed RIO DE JANEIRO.

SO PERFECT raced wide throughout.

Approaching the 400m, Jockey Azhar, the rider of GOLDEN ROSEWOOD, dropped his whip. He was subsequently warned that a repetition of dropping his whip may lead to a penalty being imposed in future.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on SUVARNABHUMI which revealed that the horse returned having debris in its trachea.

Jason Lim, Trainer ZL Mok’s B Trainer, when questioned regarding the apparent improved performance of GEARIGURU (S John), could offer no tangible explanation other than that they had altered the gelding’s training during the week in an attempt to improve the horse’s performance, and the win had surprised the Stable today. His explanation was noted.

 RACE 7:  CLASS 4, DIV 1 - 1100M (POLYTRACK)

SATELLITE SPEED (M Rodd) was restless in the barrier. Trainer D Kok was advised that a warning has been placed on SATELLITE SPEED regarding its barrier manners and to take steps to improve them or action may be taken in future.

LIM’S SINCERE (KB Soo) and BRIEFNESS (M Nunes) both began awkwardly.

ELISE (I Saifudin), which was slow into stride, was inconvenienced shortly after the start by SUGARTIME JAZZ (O Chavez), which shifted inwards.

Approximately 50m after the start, SUGARTIME JAZZ shifted inwards and made contact with LADRONE (J Powell), which in turn bumped COOL CAT (S Sam).

SATELLITE SPEED and BELLUS WONDER (M Kellady) both raced wide throughout.

App T See, the rider of BLUE DIAMOND, was fined a sum of S$500 under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for dropping his whip near the 300m.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on LIM’S SINCERE which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 8:  CLASS 5 - 1800M (POLYTRACK)

Acting on veterinary advice that BLACK DIAMOND (App MM Firdaus) was found to be lame near-fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 1644Hrs. In terms of MRA Regulation 24.2, it must be presented to an Official Veterinary Surgeon prior to being declared to race again.

BIGCAT RHAPSODY (A Da Silva) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced FOREVER BEST (S John).

Shortly after the start, OVER EASY (App R Firdhaus) was bumped by BIGCAT RHAPSODY, which shifted inwards slightly.

Approaching the 1500m, OVER EASY and QUETZAL (App Z Zuriman) raced tightly for a number of strides. OVER EASY then shifted inwards and away from TIGER BAY (M Rodd), which was shifting inwards and in so doing, crowded QUETZAL onto the heels of CLERMONT CLUB (M Nunes), resulting in QUETZAL having to be checked.

DRAPPIER (S Sam) raced keenly approaching and passing the 1200m.

BIGCAT RHAPSODY raced wide throughout.

Near the 100m, OVER EASY and BIGCAT RHAPSODY bumped.

TIGER BAY and CLERMONT CLUB raced tightly over the concluding stages.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on FOREVER BEST which revealed that the horse returned having bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed a bleeder’s test.

 RACE 9:  NOVICE - 1200M

After arriving at the barrier, EXCELLENT ONE (M Nunes) and MURRAYFIELD (CW Brown) both had their saddles readjusted.

BIG MAN (M Kellady) lost ground after jumping away awkwardly. BIG MAN then made contact with the hindquarters of EXCELLENT ONE.

ARES (A Munro) and SATELLITE STAR (M Zaki) bumped on jumping.

Shortly after the start, MURRAYFIELD and BIG MAN were both crowded for room between YANGON (K Fujii), which shifted outwards and EXCELLENT ONE, which shifted inwards. As a result of the crowding, BIG MAN had to be eased.

Approaching the 1000m, ARES steadied to avoid the heels of YANGON, which was carried inwards by EXCELLENT ONE, which was laying inwards.

After passing the 1000m, YANGON and EXCELLENT ONE both proved difficult to settle.

RICH FORTUNE (App R Rueven) and BIG MAN both raced wide throughout.

Approaching the 200m, EXCELLENT ONE shifted inwards and brushed ARES on a couple of occasions.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on RIVER OF GOLD (B Vorster) which revealed that the horse exhibited signs of respiratory distress after the race. RIVER OF GOLD will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on SATELLITE STAR which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 10:  CLASS 4, DIV 2 - 1100M (POLYTRACK)

DUTY FREE (App J See), which was marginally slow to begin, jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped LIVELY DRAGON (I Saifudin).

MIGHTY MAN (CW Brown) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped EASY MONEY (App N Nurshahril).

Shortly after the start, ROYAL STYLE (O Chavez) steadied to avoid the heels of BATTLE KING (A Munro), which rolled outwards slightly.

Approaching the 1000m, MIGHTY MAN checked when racing between ANONYMOUS (S John) on its inside and EASY MONEY and BATTLE KING on its outside. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

Approaching the 300m, BATTLE KING checked when racing between KISS ME (App R Rueven) on its outside and ANONYMOUS on its outside. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

Approaching the 100m, DRAGON SPIRIT (App T See) and ANONYMOUS made contact due mainly to ANONYMOUS rolling inwards under pressure.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on LIVELY DRAGON which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 11:  BENCHMARK 67 - 1400M

KAI POWER (App R Zawari) was restless in the barrier. Trainer B Dean was advised that a warning has been placed on KAI POWER regarding its barrier manners and to take steps to improve them or action may be taken in future.

MY BROTHERS KEEPER (CW Brown) lost ground after beginning awkwardly.

LAKE HUKA (B Vorster) began awkwardly.

PROFESSOR X (O Chavez) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped DAVINCI (M Rodd), resulting in PROFESSOR X becoming unbalanced, shifting inwards and bumping POLE PARADISE (App J See).

Approaching the 1300m, PROFESSOR X, which was proving difficult to settle, steadied off the heels of DAVINCI, which shifted inwards.

PROFESSOR X raced wide from the 1100m.

Near the 1100m, POLE PARADISE, which was racing keenly, steadied outwards across the heels of POSEIDON (A Munro), making contact with PROFESSOR X and carrying that gelding wider on the track.

Near the 600m, PROFESSOR X was bumped outwards by SCOUT DONE (TH Koh), which in turn had been bumped by EAGLE STORM (A Da Silva), which was carried outwards slightly by MAC VOLKS (K Fujii).

Between the 500m and the 300m, POLE PARADISE had some difficulty obtaining clear running when following POSEIDON, which was racing greenly and having a tendency to lay outwards.

Near the 200m, DAVINCI checked when racing to the outside of SCOUT DONE to its inside and POLE PARADISE to its outside. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on PROFESSOR X which revealed that the horse exhibited signs of respiratory distress after the race. PROFESSOR X will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on POLE PARADISE which revealed no apparent abnormality.
