 RACE 1:  MAIDEN - 1200M

Permission was granted for App MM Firdaus to replace App T See on WHITE SHADOW as the latter was unable to claim and ride at his declared riding weight. App T See was subsequently fined a sum of S$200 in terms of MRA Rule 152(5)(a).

Jockey E Aslam, the rider of MARGAUX, was fined a sum of S$200 for negligence in terms of MRA Rule 152(5)(a) in that he failed to claim down to his declared riding weight.

LAM EDITION (App CC Wong) jumped outwards at the start and bumped VOLCANO (I Saifudin).

NOBLE SUN (R Woodworth) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped SATELLITE GENIUS (M Zaki) out onto the hindquarters of THINK PRETTY (App R Rueven).

MARGAUX and HEAVENLY GIFT (App K Toh) bumped heavily on jumping.

SWINGLOWSWEETJACKY (J Powell) jumped awkwardly inwards making heavy contact with LIM’S ABSOLUTE (App CK Ng), resulting in that filly becoming extremely unbalanced and having to be checked off the heels of WHITE SHADOW, thereby losing considerable ground.

Shortly after the start, VOLCANO shifted inwards making contact with the hindquarters of LAM EDITION.

VOLCANO raced wide throughout.

Shortly after passing the 800m, HEAVENLY GIFT eased after racing up onto the heels of NOBLE SUN.

LAM EDITION was held up and unable to improve between the 700m and the 500m.

Near the 500m, LAM EDITION shifted outwards momentarily inconveniencing VOLCANO.

Approaching the 300m, LAM EDITION was disappointed for a run and was held up on the heels of CHINESE TYCOON (App N Alfian) until passing the 200m, when LAM EDITION then taken outwards in an attempt to obtain clear running.

LAM EDITION was again held up for the final 100m.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that MARGAUX returned with the saddle having slipped sideways.

 RACE 2:  INITIATION - 1000M (POLYTRACK)

Prior to the running of Race 2, Trainer S Yeoh advised the Stewards that his instructions to Jockey M Zaki, the rider of GOLD PIN, if circumstances permit, to ride in a forward position.

After arriving at the barrier, both GENUINE (App R Sazali) and PRECHAGORDA (A Munro) had their saddles readjusted.

MR LUCK (R Woodworth) and ÉCLAIR MOMENT (J Powell) were both slow to begin.

LIM’S RANGER (App R Firdhaus) and MR JACKSON (R Chaves) were both crowded on jumping between PRECHAGORDA, which shifted inwards and SATELLITE LEGEND (App CC Wong) which shifted outwards.

SMART INVESTMENT (App MM Firdaus) jumped awkwardly inwards resulting in it making contact with VRAAD (O Chavez), which also jumped away awkwardly. VRAAD then shifted inwards and made heavy contact with the hindquarters of PRECHAGORDA. As a result, PRECHAGORDA then shifted outwards carrying VRAAD out onto SMART INVESTMENT, which steadied off the heels of GENUINE.

Approximately 50m after the start, MR LUCK was bumped by GOLD PIN, which shifted inwards.

Shortly after passing the 800m, SATELLITE LEGEND eased when bumped outwards by GOOD LUCKY (App N Alfian), which in turn had been bumped slightly by ÉCLAIR MOMENT.

GENUINE raced wide from the 600m.

VRAAD had a tendency to lay inwards in the straight.

The Farrier reported that VRAAD returned having cast its off-hind plate.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that LIM’S RANGER returned with the saddle having slipped sideways.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on WHAT IFF (V Duric) which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 3:  KRANJI STAKES D, DIV 1 - 1400M (POLYTRACK)

KNIGHT SPIRIT (TH Koh) was slow into stride.

EXCELLENT MAGIC (M Zaki) and NATURAL NICE (D Beasley) bumped on jumping.

Shortly after the start, MIGHTY KENNY (App MM Firdaus) brushed PERFECT CHALLENGER (App T See) which in turn shifted inwards making contact with EXQUISITELY SWEET (E Aslam).

Near the 900m, ONE MORE ACHIEVER (K A’Isisuhairi) checked when racing to the inside of STARSKY (A Munro), which was racing to the inside and behind GOLDEN MILE (V Duric), MASTER BANGER (K Fujii) and CONVICT (App R Azhar). An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

Shortly after, MIGHTY KENNY eased off the heels of STARSKY, which shifted outwards when racing behind MASTER BANGER, which was racing keenly.

KNIGHT SPIRIT raced wide throughout.

Near the 700m, MASTER BANGER eased after laying outwards after becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of NATURAL NICE, which rolled inwards marginally.

MIGHTY KENNY had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 500m and 300m.

Passing the 300m, Jockey Beasley, the rider of NATURAL NICE, dropped his whip. He was subsequently warned that a repetition of dropping his whip may lead to a penalty being imposed in future.

Passing the 300m, BIG MAN (J Powell) rolled outwards making contact with CONVICT.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on GOLDEN MILE which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 4:  INITIATION - 1400M

As to avoid a clash with an overseas race, this race was put back five minutes and rescheduled to start at 1445Hrs.

HUSSONATOR (App R Rueven) and CIRRUS (D Beasley) were both slow to begin.

SCIMITAR (J Powell) lost ground after beginning awkwardly.

SQUIRE BENTLEY (App MM Firdaus) jumped awkwardly inwards.

PARKER (App Z Zuriman) raced keenly in the early stages.

Near the 1000m, BLACK SWAN (K A’Isisuhairi) which proved difficult to settle, was eased off the heels of ROYAL EASTER (A Munro).

MISS STREISAND (E Chaves) raced wide throughout.

For the majority of the homestraight, HUSSONATOR laid inwards.

Over the concluding stages, HUSSONATOR was taken outwards to obtain clear running.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on MISS STREISAND which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 5:  NOVICE - 1400M

Due to a delay in the start time of Race 4, this race was put back five minutes and rescheduled to start at 1515Hrs.

After arriving at the barrier, ASTROJET (A Da Silva) had its saddle readjusted.

DAMON (KB Soo) lost ground after beginning awkwardly.

PERKINS (App MM Firdaus) began awkwardly.

LITTLE BIG MAN (D Beasley) jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped PEER GYNT (A Munro).

Shortly after the start, PEER GYNT shifted outwards and bumped ASTROJET.

Approximately 50m after the start, LITTLE BIG MAN was eased to avoid the heels of CERTAINLY (J Powell), which shifted inwards. Jockey Powell was subsequently shown the film of the incident and warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.

Near the 1200m, MURRAYFIELD (V Duric) rolled outwards marginally and bumped heavily with IN BOCCA AL LUPO (K Fujii), which was carried inwards slightly by PEER GYNT, which in turn was inclined to shift in and away from CERTAINLY. IN BOCCA AL LUPO which then commenced to race keenly approaching the 1100m, had to be eased off the heels of PEER GYNT, which was carried inwards by ASTROJET. IN BOCCA AL LUPO then continued to race keenly for a short distance thereafter.

MURRAYFIELD raced keenly for a short distance passing the 1000m.

LITTLE BIG MAN race wide from the 700m.

IN BOCCA AL LUPO laid outwards from the 700m.

Near the 250m, MURRAYFIELD, which was laying inwards and was inconvenienced when LITTLE BIG MAN, which shifted out and away from PEER GYNT.

Near the 50m, ASTROJET and PEER GYNT momentarily brushed.

An Objection was lodged by Jockey Munro, the rider of second placegetter, PEER GYNT, against ASTROJET, being the first placegetter, on the grounds of interference near the 50m. After deliberation and considering all of the evidence, the Panel of Stewards were of the opinion that near near the 50m, ASTROJET and PEER GYNT momentarily brushed. Taking into account the alleged interference and the manner in which both horses finished off the race, the Panel of Stewards were of the opinion that the alleged interference had not affected the result of the race. As such, the Objection was overruled and the result stood.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on MURRAYFIELD which revealed that the horse returned with a cut on its near-fore pastern.

 RACE 6:  KRANJI STAKES D, DIV 2 - 1400M

Due to the objection in Race 5, this race was put back five minutes and rescheduled to start at 1550Hrs.

TIME AFTER TIME (B Vorster) was difficult to be loaded into the barrier. Trainer D Hill was advised that a warning has been placed on TIME AFTER TIME regarding its barrier manners and to take steps to improve them or action may be taken in future.

CONSTANCE’S SPIRIT (A Munro) was slow to begin.

KNOW EACH OTHER (App MM Firdaus) jumped awkwardly inwards at the start.

TIME AFTER TIME which jumped away awkwardly, lost ground when inconvenienced by TWODOLLARMUPPET (J Powell), which jumped inwards.

WARPATH (M Kellady) and MR TRY (App Z Zuriman) bumped on jumping.

CONSTANCE’S SPIRIT raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

Near the 1200m, TIME AFTER TIME which was racing keenly, steadied off the heels of MEAISIN (App R Rueven).

WARPATH and LUCKY COIN (E Chaves) both raced wide throughout.

Jockey Powell reported that TWODOLLATMUPPET was not striding out freely.  A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 7:  BENCHMARK 89 - 1100M (POLYTRACK)

Due to a delay in the start time of Race 6, this race was put back five minutes and rescheduled to start at 1620Hrs.

Permission was granted for App CC Wong to replace App T See on BLUE DIAMOND as the latter was unable to claim and ride at his declared riding weight. App T See was subsequently fined a sum of S$200 in terms of MRA Rule 152(5)(a).

PIONEER SEVEN (M Kellady) jumped away awkwardly.

THE GENERAL (B Vorster), which was slightly slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly lost ground when bumped shortly after the start by GOOD NEWS (O Chavez). Thereafter, THE GENERAL race wide throughout.

MYCAPTAINOBLIVIOUS (App H Syafiq), which raced wide throughout, was carried outwards making the turn into the straight when GHOST laid outwards.

Passing the 200m, GOOD NEWS and THE GENERAL bumped on a couple of occasions.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that KAM’S COMET (App MM Firdaus) had returned with the saddle having slipped back during the running of the race.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on MYCAPTAINOBLIVIOUS which revealed that the gelding returned not striding out freely. The Veterinary Surgeon also reported that MYCAPTAINOBLIVIOUS returned exhibited signs of respiratory distress after the race. MYCAPTAINOBLIVIOUS will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

 RACE 8:  CLASS 4 - 1800M

Due to a delay in the start time of Race 7, this race was put back five minutes and rescheduled to start at 1650Hrs.

Trainer S Burridge was fined a sum of S$50 in terms of MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the correct colours on AIR FORCE ONE (J Powell)

DUAL IMPACT (App R Rueven) was slow into stride.

SIR REGINALD (App I Amirul) began awkwardly.

HIGHER SOUL (K A’Isisuhairi) blundered on jumping.

Shortly after the start, HIGHER SOUL was bumped by GREAT BALLS OFFIRE (App R Firdhasus), which was carried inwards by ECLIPSE DANCER (A Munro) which shifted inwards after making slight contact with GLORIOUS PROSPECT (O Chavez).

AIR FORCE ONE (J Powell) proved difficult to settle in the early stages.

DUAL IMPACT raced keenly in the early stages.

SIR REGINALD and GLORIOUS PROSPECT both raced wide throughout.

Passing the 300m, ECLIPSE DANCER and SIR REGINALD brushed on a couple of occasions.

Over the concluding stages, HIGHER SOUL laid inwards under pressure.

ECLIPSE DANCER steadied over the concluding stages when PUSAKA (V Duric) rolled outwards.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on ECLIPSE DANCER which revealed no apparent abnormality.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on SIR REGINALD which revealed that the gelding returned not striding out freely.

 RACE 9:  BENCHMARK 74 - 1200M

Prior to the ‘All Clear’ being given, Jockey V Duric, the rider of GOLDEN SWORD, requested to view the race video with a view to considering lodging an objection. After viewing the video, Jocke Duric believed that there was insufficient grounds to lodge the objection and the ‘All Clear’ was declared.

SOLARIS SPECTRUM (M Kellady) jumped inwards at the start resulting in GOLDEN TOMAHAWK (B Vorster), which jumped away awkwardly being carried inwards making contact with MORITZ ECLIPSE (K A’Isisuhairi), which in turn bumped GOBI RANGER (A Munro) out onto D’DON (I Saifudin).

Approaching the 1100m, SOLARIS SPECTRUM and GOLDEN TOMAHAWK bumped. Shortly after, GOLDEN TOMAHAWK had to be eased off the heels of MORITZ ECLIPSE, which shifted outwards.

Near the 900m, D’DON lost ground when crowded to the inside of MORITZ ECLIPSE, which shifted in and away from OCEAN GENERAL (TH Koh), when that gelding shifted inwards abruptly.

Near the 700m, D’DON checked when racing between REACH FOR THE SUN (App CC Wong) and GOLDEN SWORD. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

SMART PEOPLE (O Chavez) raced wide from the 700m.

Approaching the 600m, SATELLITE PRINCE (App M Jailani) lost ground when racing tight to the inside of D’DON.

Near the 300m, GOLDEN SWORD checked when racing between REACH FOR THE SUN (App CC Wong) and MORITZ ECLIPSE. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

SATELLITE PRINCE had difficulty obtaining clear running over the concluding stages.

The Farrier reported that SOLARIS SPECTRUM returned having cast its near-fore plate.

D’DON which raced poorly will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on GOBI RANGER which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 10:  KRANJI STAKES D - 1800M (POLYTRACK)

XZUBERANCE (App R Firdhaus) and STARPERFECT (J Powell) bumped on jumping.

CHRISTMAS (App I Amirul) which was slow to begin, lost ground when WINNING STAR (A Munro) jumped awkwardly inwards.

HEE’S A MAVERICK (App R Rueven) jumped inwards at the start crowding SINGSURAT (App MM Firdaus) in onto DRAGON G (D Beasley).

SINGSURAT raced keenly in the early stages.

Approaching the 1200m, HEE’S A MAVERICK and DRAGON G bumped for a short distance. HONGCHEN (App Z Zuriman) which was following and racing keenly and had to be eased in consequence.

Approaching the turn into straight, SINGSURAT laid inwards making contact with the hindquarters of XZUBERANCE.

App MM Firdaus, the rider of SINGSURAT, was fined S$500 for making a celebratory gesture prior to the Finish in terms of MRA Rule 44(12).

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on DRAGON G which revealed no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 11:  CLASS 4 - 1400M

QUEEN’S SEVEN (K Fujii) jumped away extremely awkwardly.

KING OPERA (I Saifudin) and THE DODGER (V Duric) bumped on jumping.

FELAROF (D Beasley) which was slightly slow to begin was inconvenienced shortly after the start when ASPEN (O Chavez) was bumped inwards by HOT GOLD (App MM Firdaus).

KING SAVINSKY (App CK Ng) was difficult to settle in the early stages.

HOT GOLD raced wide throughout.

Near the 300m, HOT GOLD checked when racing to the inside of FELAROF and ASPREY (A Munro). An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

Approaching the 200m, SPLENDOR (KB Soo) laid inwards and became awkwardly placed on the heels of SUN EMPIRE (R Woodworth).

An Objection was lodged by Jockey D Beasley, the rider of second placegetter, FELAROF, against ASPREY (A Munro), being the first placegetter, on the grounds of interference near the 300m. After deliberation and considering all of the evidence, the Panel of Stewards were of the opinion that near the 300m, ASPREY carried FELAROF inwards resulting in that gelding bumping HOT GOLD and losing ground. ASPREY then continued to shift into the running of FELAROF, resulting in FELAROF having to be eased and taken outwards to obtain clear running.

After considering all of the evidence and after deliberation, the Panel Of Stewards were of the opinion that taking into account the alleged interference and the manner in which both horses finished off the race the alleged inteference had affected the result of the race and the Objection was upheld. The result was amended to read:

1ST - FELAROF
2ND - ASPREY
3RD - THE DODGER
4TH - SPLENDOR
5TH - ASPEN
6TH - SUN EMPIRE

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on SUN EMPIRE which revealed no apparent abnormality.
