 RACE 1:  CLASS 5 - 1100M (POLYTRACK)

WOLFSBANE (App R Shafiq) was slow to begin.

QUEEN KELL (O Chavez) began awkwardly and shifted inwards abruptly.

Shortly after the start, FUKU’S PET (I Saifudin) and PERFECT KID (App JL Li) bumped.

MIDLIFE CRISIS (App R Zawari) and SPIDER KING (J Saimee) both raced wide without cover throughout.

SPIDER KING hung outwards passing the 700m and continued to hang outwards in the straight.

Near the 400m, PERFECT KID steadied when disappointed for a run between OH YES OH NOE (KB Soo) and VANQUISH (D Beasley), which shifted outwards to improve.

Over the concluding stages, App Li, the rider of PERFECT KID, became unbalanced resulting in him being dislodged. App Li was subsequently shown the film of the incident and warned and advised to improve his riding technique and proficiency.

 RACE 2:  RESTRICTED MAIDEN - 1100M (POLYTRACK)

RUMPELSTILTSKIN (M Airy), which was difficult to get to the barrier, broke away from its rider and galloped riderless for some distance before being captured. To avoid unnecessary delay, the Race Meeting Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 1319Hrs. RUMPELSTILTSKIN will be required to pass one starting stall test (to be ridden unaided to the start) prior to being entered to race again in terms of MRA Rule 78(2).

DYNAMIC VENTURE (D McDonogh) jumped away awkwardly.

Making the turn near the 800m, QUE SERA SERA (Alan Ng) lost ground when racing tight to the inside of MR MAGIC (YF Leong).

Near the 800m, I’M A RICH MAN (O Placais) lost ground when racing tight between DYNAMIC VENTURE and SEASONS WONDER (S Sam), which rolled inwards.

COOL LUKE (J Saimee) raced wide throughout.

BE LUCKY (B Vorster) laid outwards under pressure between the 400m and the 100m.

Over the concluding stages, MR MAGIC and QUE SERA SERA both steadied to the inside of SMART CHOICE (App R Zawari), which hung inwards.

 RACE 3:  CLASS 4, DIV 2 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

SARATOGA (App M Firdaus) was difficult to be loaded into the barrier. Trainer S Burridge was advised that a warning has been placed on SARATOGA regarding its barrier manners and to take steps to improve them or action may be taken in future.

WHITE COFFEE (D Beasley) and MAGIC DIVA (KT Cheng) both began awkwardly AND lost ground.

Near the 1000m, SARATOGA steadied when racing tight to the inside of SERGEANT PEPPER (B Vorster).

Between the 600m and the 400m, SARATOGA lost ground when held up behind the tiring SERGEANT PEPPER.

The Farrier reported that AFRIEND (J Powell) returned having cast its off-fore plate.

SARATOGA and AFRIEND were both impounded for routine veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 4:  RESTRICTED MAIDEN - 1600M (POLYTRACK)

Shortly after the start, ENZO (V Sivan) was crowded between CARUSO (B Vorster) and DRUNKEN PARTNERS (R Woodworth), which jumped inwards.

HURRY HARIMAU (M Zaki) jumped awkwardly inwards at the start bumping HIGH FLY MARCO (App R Zawari) in onto NEWFOUNDJOY (S Anandan).

Approaching the 1200m, DRUNKEN PARTNERS had to be eased after becoming awkwardly placed n the heels of CARUSO.

Approaching the 300m, Jockey Sivan, the rider of ENZO, dropped his whip. He was subsequently warned that a repetition of dropping his whip may lead to a penalty being imposed in future.

Approaching the 100m, SOLITAIRE (O Chavez) shifted inwards abruptly obliging its rider to stop riding and straighten his mount.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on HURRY HARIMAU which revealed no apparent abnormality. HURRY HARIMAU, which raced poorly, will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

HIGH FLY MARCO was impounded for routine veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 5:  CLASS 4, DIV 3 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

WHAT A CAT (KB Soo) jumped away awkwardly.

SEIZE THE DAY (J Saimee) jumped outwards at the start bumping CITY LAD (R Woodworth) out onto ATLIXCO (B Vorster).

Shortly after passing the 800m, HOWGOODISTHAT (App R Zawari) had to be eased after laying inwards off the heels of BERNANKE (D Beasley).

STREET RUFFIAN (O Chavez) raced wide throughout.

Approaching the 300m, ATLIXCO was disappointed for a run between WHAT A CAT, which rolled outwards and SHINKANSEN (Alan Ng), which rolled inwards.

Jockey J Powell, the rider of ROBERT E, reported that the gelding had returned with its saddle having shifted to the side during the running. This was subsequently confirmed by the Farrier.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that KING ON THE RUN (I Andy) bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed a bleeder’s test.

 RACE 6:  CLASS 5 - 1900M (POLYTRACK)

Trainer S Lam was fined a sum of S$200 for negligence in terms of MRA Rule 152(5)(a) in that he failed to submit his request for App YY Oon to ride ICANDOITTO without claiming his full allowance within the prescribed time at Declarations.

FORTUNE EIGHT (V Sivan) began awkwardly and lost ground.

Shortly after the start, GLOBAL ZERO (O Placais) and RECIPROCATE (I Saifudin) were both crowded between FLYING CLIPPER (KB Soo) and ICANDOITTO, both of which shifted ground.

Between the 700m and 500m, ICANDOITTO lost ground when racing behind the tiring KING OF LOTUS (O Chavez).

GLOBAL ZERO, which raced poorly, will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on TAKESHI (R Woodworth which revealed no apparent abnormality.

All riders returned to scale an average of 1½kgs overweight due to the weather conditions.

 RACE 7:  BENCHMARK 61 - 1600M (POLYTRACK)

DARING FIGHTER (M Zaki) was slow into stride.

Shortly after the start, EIGHTH WONDER (R Woodworth) and BAY OF ISLAND (J Saimee) were both cramped for racing room between LONG HAUL (J Powell), which shifted inwards marginally and FORGIVEN (I Saifudin), which was carried outwards by MOVIE GOER (S Sam).

QUINTA DE LAGO (D Beasley) and FORGIVEN both made the turn into the straight wide.

Over the concluding stages, PHANTOM KNIGHT (D McDonogh) eased when crowded between EIGHTH WONDER to its inside and FORGIVEN and QUINTA DE LAGO, which shifted inwards.

GUIDED LIGHT (Alan Ng) was impounded for routine veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported no apparent abnormality.

 RACE 8:  KRANJI STAKES C - 1100M (POLYTRACK)

SMART GENERAL (Alan Ng) was difficult to be loaded into the barrier. Trainer D Kok was advised that a warning has been placed on SMART GENERAL regarding its barrier manners and to take steps to improve them or action may be taken in future.

HAMMER DOWN (O Chavez) began awkwardly and lost ground.

Shortly after the start, FUKU KITARU (App R Zawari) and ROCK ART (App YY Oon) were both crowded between SARONG (M Suhaimi) and SMART GENERAL, which shifted inwards.

SARONG raced keenly in the backstraight.

SMART GENERAL and SQUALL LINE (KB Soo) both raced wide without cover throughout.

FINDERSKEEPERS (App R Shafiq) made the turn into the homestraight wide carrying COUNTRY CLUB (App M Firdaus) wider on the track.

App Shafiq who rode his 40th winner on FINDERSKEEPERS will only be permitted to claim 2Kgs allowance with effect from Monday, 19 December 2011.

 RACE 9:  BENCHMARK 97 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

AROWANA DOT COM (R Woodworth) began awkwardly and lost ground.

ONENINETYFIVE (J Saimee) showed no early pace despite the urging of its rider.

Passing the 300m, DITTATORE (B Vorster) and EXCAVATOR (KB Soo) bumped when EXCAVATOR shifted inwards under pressure.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on ONENINETYFIVE which revealed no apparent abnormality.

AROWANA DOT COM was impounded for routine veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported no apparent abnormality.

All riders returned to scale an average of 1kg overweight due to the weather conditions.

Following the running of Race 9, Jockey Saimee, the rider of ONENINETYFIVE, was examined by the Course Medical Officer who declared him unfit to fulfil his remaining riding engagement.

 RACE 10:  CLASS 5 - 1000M (POLYTRACK)

Trainer M Yusof was fined a sum of S$50 in terms of MRA Rule 65(5)(b) for failing to produce the correct colours on MY YEARLY VICTORY (App JL Li).

Trainer S Lam was fined a sum of S$200 for negligence in terms of MRA Rule 152(5)(a) in that he failed to submit his request for App YY Oon to ride LIGHT AS FEATHER without claiming his full allowance within the prescribed time at Declarations.

DOUBLE S (YF Leong) lost ground after jumping away awkwardly.

DANNY BOY (S Anandan) blundered on jumping.

MY YEARLY VICTORY was slow to begin.

Jockey I Saifudin, the rider of SACRED PRINCE, reported that the gelding had returned with its saddle having shifted back during the running.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on BLUEBERRY POWER (M Zaki) which revealed no apparent abnormality.

All riders returned to scale an average of 1kg overweight due to the weather conditions.

 RACE 11:  CLASS 4, DIV 1 - 1200M (POLYTRACK)

Trainer J O’Hara was fined a sum of S$500 in terms of MRA Rule 35(1) in that SUPER ZUCCA (I Saifudin) was presented without Ear Muffs which was part of its approved gear.

SUPER ZUCCA, which jumped away awkwardly, made contact with THANKSGIVING (M Zaki).

POWER AND GLORY (YF Leong) and WORLD FAMOUSMAN (O Placais) were both slow to begin.

HUMOR TOWN (O Chavez) raced wide throughout.

In the early part of the straight, SUPER ZUCCA had to be eased off the heels of STUB (D Beasley), which laid outwards.

Jockey Zaki, the rider of THANKSGIVING, reported that his horse was making respiratory noises. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on SUPER ZUCCA which revealed no apparent abnormality.

POST-RACE URINE/BLOOD: SUNDAY
SINGAPORE 04 DECEMBER MEETING 2011

30 coded urine and 30 coded blood samples from the above-mentioned race meeting were received for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations.

All samples were analysed and none failed except for Sample Coded No 0038546 which revealed the presence of Scopolamine and which was reported to have been taken from the horse, FULL SITE, trained by Trainer M Clements, which ran third in Race 2 on the above date.

On Saturday, 17 December 2011, Trainer Clements was advised of the Analyst’s Report and his attention was drawn to the contents of MRA Rule 137 (1) relating to the Referee Samples. In terms of the Rules, FULL SITE could not race again until cleared by the Stewards.

An inquiry into the above will be held at a date to be fixed.

At the conclusion of an inquiry on Sunday, 18 December 2011, Jockey J Saimee, the rider of JOYFUL HEART MAN, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding JOYFUL HEART MAN in Race 9 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Friday, 16 December 2011, near the 300m, he allowed his mount to shift inwards, when insufficiently clear, thereby resulting in SMOKING JOE (M Kellady) having to check. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea and the degree of interference and carelessness. Jockey Saimee was suspended from riding in races with effect from Monday, 19 December 2011 to Sunday, 01 January 2012 both dates inclusive (four Race Days) and was advised of his right of appeal.
