RACE 7 [TF404]
At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Monday, 07 April 2008, Jockey M Kway, the rider of ACE AIRWAYS, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(c) in that whilst riding ACE AIRWAYS in the seventh race at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Sunday, 06 April 2008, approaching the turn into the straight, he shifted his mount outwards, when insufficiently clear, thereby crowding WORLD TOP (App KK Ng), which had to check. when deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea and the degree of interference and carelessness. Jockey Kway was suspended from riding in races with immediate effect from Monday, 07 April 2008 to Sunday, 13 April 2008 both dates inclusive (three Race Days) and was advised of his Right of Appeal.

RACE 10 [TF407]
On Monday, 07 April 2008, the Stewards concluded an Inquiry into the riding of PROMISE ME GOLD (App T Affandi). When questioned, App Affandi, in the presence of his Master, Trainer S Burridge, stated that approaching the turn into the straight, XAAR’S HONOUR (N Callow) improved to the outside of PROMISE ME GOLD. Thereafter, he was held up and unable to improve. Near the 200m, a run momentarily presented itself between EXCHEQUER (A Fiezan) and CRISTOFORO (D Beasley). However, CRISTOFORO then rolled inwards and EXCHEQUER rolled outwards. As a result, PROMISE ME GOLD was again momentarily held up. Although the Stewards felt that there was insufficient evidence to substantiate a charge, App Affandi was warned and advised that he would be expected to ride so as not to arouse query and to show more initiative in future.
