Wednesday,  5 March 2008

Near the 300m, TIEN MA (App J Farook), which laid inwards, had to be taken outwards to obtain a clear run.

Over the final 200, FUTURE MISSION (S Anandan) laid outwards.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that JAVELIN bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed a bleeder’s test.

Jockey Beasley, when questioned regarding the apparent poor performance of SUPER EXPRESS, stated that after being caught wide early, the gelding had not travelled well in the middle stages and had run on moderately when placed under pressure. A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on PAGO KID which revealed no apparent abnormality.
