DECEMBER (GOLD CUP) MEETING
Second Day,  Saturday,  26 December 2015

 RACE 1:  CLASS 5 - 1700M

At the start, SPACE INVADER (S Thai Yang) hesitated and was slow to begin.

SYCE CRACKER (App CT Lee) dipped shortly after the start.

Rounding the first turn, THUNDER WIND (App S Saddam) steadied when bumped on the inside of FLYING GIFT (J De Souza).

SPACE INVADER raced wide into the home straight.

FLYING GIFT switched outwards for a clear run shortly after entering the home straight.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that FLYING GIFT returned having cast its off-hind plate.

Post-race veterinary examinations of SYCE CRACKER and KEY LARGOLD (App WT Chung) revealed no obvious abnormality.

Trainer KF Wong, who was not on course, will be questioned regarding the apparent reversal of form of GOOD GIFT (App M Hanif) compared to its previous run on 6 December 2015.

 RACE 2:  CLASS 4 - 1400M

Acting on veterinary advice that STORM HERO (App M Hanif) was lame off-fore just prior to the start, the Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 2.28 pm. STORM HERO will be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

DEVIL BULL (HS Gill) was a little slow into stride after the start and showed no early pace.

Shortly after the start, NUWA (App A Thamil) steadied when tightened between KIM PROTECTOR (J Shankar), which jumped awkwardly inwards, and TRIPLE ONE D’BEST (App P Mogun), which was taken outwards by AUDACIOUS (App J Daniel), which received some pressure from MR WHYTE (App I Amirul) which jumped awkwardly outwards.

Shortly after the 1200m mark, BABY POLO (App AK Lim) steadied when tightened on the inside of AUDACIOUS which received some pressure from TWO M AND M (J Low). BABY POLO steadied again shortly after the 800m as it continued to race tight on the inside of AUDACIOUS.

TWO M AND M had a tendency to hang outwards in the back straight and on turn.

At about the 500m, AUDACIOUS steadied when racing tight on the inside of TWO M AND M.

Post-race veterinary examinations of BABY POLO and DEVIL BULL revealed no obvious abnormality. BABY POLO was impounded for further veterinary and analytical examination.

 RACE 3:  CLASS 5 - 1300M

ALI BABA (App CT Lee) fly-jumped at the start and was a little slow into stride.

Shortly after the start, SINGING DUNE (R Burnett) steadied on the outside of GLORY BETTING (SS Vanan) which shifted outwards sharply.

POT BLACK (M Razali) and SUPER WINE (App AK Lim) both raced keen and were difficult to settle in the back straight.

ALI BABA raced with its tongue over the bit.

App AK Lim, the rider of SUPER WINE, dropped his whip at the finishing post.

Post-race veterinary examinations of POT BLACK, ASTROHEAT (F Yap) and SUPER WINE revealed no obvious abnormality. All the 3 geldings were impounded for further veterinary and analytical examination.

 RACE 4:  OPEN MAIDEN - 1200M

JULY JUHO and YES MADAM, both course scratchings as they were sore near-fore tendon and sore near-fore fetlock respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

PERFECTLY PERFECT (App S Shafrizal) which was restless in the barriers, fly-jumped and then veered outwards sharply after the start and had to be straightened.

ARCHAEOLOGY (S Thai Yang) fly-jumped at the start and bumped MULTI WEALTH (J De Souza).

MINDSWITCH (SS Vanan) hesitated at the start and was slow to begin.

SOUTH EMPEROR (HS Gill) was slow to begin.

KATNISS (App WK Lee) took little interest throughout the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality. KATNISS, which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

A post-race veterinary examination of AWINISAWIN (J Shankar) revealed no obvious abnormality. The mare was impounded for further veterinary and analytical examination.

 RACE 5:  CLASS 4 - 1700M

TILSWORTH GLENBOY, which was down 19kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

ROYAL GREEN (J Shankar) was restless in the barriers and was carried outwards shortly after the start by TILSWORTH GLENBOY (App Z Khairil) which jumped awkwardly outwards.

TILSWORTH GLENBOY was a little slow into stride.

JEFFERSON BAY (S Salee) was slow into stride after the start.

Rounding the turn at about the 600m, LIGHTNING THIEF (SS Vanan) which was racing tight on the inside of WIND OF SUCCESS (App WT Chung), steadied outwards after racing up to the heels of LUCK DRAGON (App KC Wong).

JEFFERSON BAY had a tendency to lay inwards away from the whip in the home straight.

Post-race veterinary examinations of LUCK DRAGON, TILSWORTH GLENBOY and WIND OF SUCCESS revealed no obvious abnormality. TILSWORTH GLENBOY and WIND OF SUCCESS were both impounded for further veterinary and analytical examination.

 

Jockey J De Souza would be questioned regarding an apparent 'dual declaration' on SUPER VICTORY and JEFFERSON BAY in the above race.

 RACE 6:  CLASS 4 - 1200M

LA FAMILIA (S Thai Yang) was leaning in the barriers, hesitated, fly-jumped at the start and was slow to begin.

ZENIDEKKA (J De Souza) jumped awkwardly inwards at the start.

BIG BIT COIN (M Razali) was a little slow into stride after the start.

Approaching the turn at about the 900m, HAPPY AMIGO (J Low), which was pulling hard and laying outwards, steadied and lost ground when tightened between ZENIDEKKA and CIZEN MAN (App S Shafrizal) which received some pressure from TRAVERTINE (S Salee). HAPPY AMIGO continued to lay outwards at the 800m turn.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that ZENIDEKKA returned having cast it near-fore plate.

Post-race veterinary examinations of HAPPY AMIGO and LA FAMILIA revealed no obvious abnormality. LA FAMILIA was impounded for further veterinary and analytical examination.

 RACE 7:  CLASS 5 - 1100M

BLAZING STEED, a course scratching as it had sustained a sole bruise off-fore, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

LAZAROO (App S Shafrizal) had its head turned to the side at the start and jumped awkwardly.

RUMPELSTILTSKIN (M Razali) jumped awkwardly and was slow to begin.

TOM THE CRUISER (App I Amirul) was a little slow into stride after the start and was caught wide on the turn at the 800m.

The saddle on SEA MASTER (J Low) slipped backwards during running.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that LEE SMILE (J Chuah) returned having cast its off-hind plate and exhibiting signs of respiratory distress and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

Post-race veterinary examinations of SEA MASTER and BLACK AHEAD (App SU Lim) revealed no obvious abnormality. Both geldings were impounded for further veterinary and analytical examination.

 GENERAL

RACE 2 (R1329), SATURDAY, 7 NOVEMBER 2015
SELANGOR TURF CLUB NOVEMBER MEETING 2015

Jockey C Goon (NEW CLASSMATE) who lodged an appeal against his suspension of 2 Malaysian race days for careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii), applied to withdraw his appeal on 23 December 2015. After consideration, his application was acceded to and his deposit was forfeited. His suspension will commence on 26 December 2015 and to expire on 27 December 2015, both dates inclusive.

POST-RACE URINE: 12 & 13 DECEMBER 2015
PERAK DECEMBER MEETING 2015

The report dated 24 December 2015 (V15/164) from the Chief Analyst of Veterinary Forensic Laboratory stated that 43 coded urine and 47 sets of coded blood samples from the above-mentioned race meeting were received on 13 December 2015, for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. Except for one sample (Lab. No. V91421) the analysis result of which was pending, no prohibited substances were detected in the remaining samples.

The report dated 24 December 2015 (V15/165) from the Chief Analyst of Veterinary Forensic Laboratory stated that 4 coded urine samples from the above-mentioned race meeting were received on 13 December 2015, for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected.

PNTC TRACKWORK – TUESDAY, 1 DECEMBER 2015

KING OF TOWER (J496), which bled during trackwork on 1 December 2015, was barred from racing for a period of three months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.

LATE SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FOR RENEWAL OF APPRENTICE JOCKEY LICENCE FOR YEAR 2016

On 20 December 2015, App CT Lee was fined the sum of RM200 under PNTC Local Condition 4(c) for late submission of his application for renewal of Apprentice Jockey Licence for year 2016.
