NOVEMBER HOME-BASED MEETING
Second Day,  Sunday,  8 November 2015

 RACE 1:  CLASS 5 - 1200M

ALIEN (App KP Lim) jumped awkwardly.

Shortly after the start, MANGAKOKOMUKA (App M Sathiaa) was buffeted between STEALTH (App W Faizal) and BLACK IS POWER (H Bukhari) for a short distance.

Approaching the 1000m, STEALTH (App W Faizal) shifted inwards resulting in MANGAKOKOMUKA being carried in and made contact with ALIEN resulting in ALIEN losing its rightful position. After viewing the official patrol film, the Stewards decided to give App W Faizal the "benefit of the doubt" as in the opinion of the Stewards, ALIEN and MANGAKOKOMUKA bumped prior to this incident which resulted in ALIEN shifting out marginally and contributing to this incident. The Stewards took no further action.

MANGAKOKOMUKA and STEALTH raced wide over the final 1000m.

Entering the front straight for the run to the finish, ALIEN was held up for a clear run behind runners in front before gaining a clear run approaching the 200m.

 RACE 2:  CLASS 4 - 1200M

TWO WOLVES (S Ruzaini) was slow to begin.

Upon jumping, BLACK TRISTAR (J Low) shifted outwards and inconvenienced HUSSAR (M Zaidi).

DARK EXPRESS (C Goon) had to be checked by its rider shortly after the start when HUSSAR shifted outwards and ECLIPSE’S SECRET (J De Souza) shifted inwards.

PURE KEMISTRY (Lou Ho) had a tendency to race fiercely in the early and middle stages, and got its head up on several occasions.

App KP Lim, the rider of SALAHADDIN, reported that his saddle slipped sideways at approximately 600m.

Approaching the 200m, SWISS BANK (HS Gill) was momentarily held up behind SALAHADDIN and had to shift inwards to gain clear running.

GOLDHILL PRINCESS (App WT Chung) and BEAUTY HARMONY (App SU Lim) were both caught racing wide throughout the event.

All riders returned to scale an average of 1 1/2kgs overweight due to the adverse weather conditions.

 RACE 3:  MAIDEN - 1300M

DANCE HALL DAYS (S Ruzaini), which was fractious in the barrier and had sustained multiple lacerations to its near-hind leg, was withdrawn by order of the Stewards at 2:56pm acting on veterinary advice. The mare will be required to pass a 1000m/vet (from the starting stall) test before being declared to race again.

On jumping, EN LAUDER (App T Krisna) shifted outwards and made contact with RANDY D BRUCE (App W Faizal).

Approaching the 1000m, SIXDAY SEVENNIGHT (A Nawawi) raced greenly and shifted inwards despite the efforts of its rider, inconveniencing MORE POWER (App KC Wong). SIXDAY SEVENNIGHT continued to race greenly approaching the 900m, and shifted in abruptly resulting in DUBLEO BEAUTY (J De Souza) also being inconvenienced.

Approaching the 1000m, JUST VITAL (App M Hanif) had a tendency to race greenly and shifted inwards despite the efforts of its rider resulting in EN LAUDER being severely checked by its rider. JUST VITAL continued to race greenly throughout the event.

Approaching the 400m, LOYALTY GAYA (App SU Lim) shifted out under pressure, bumping KING OF SEAL (HS Gill).

Approaching the 200m, FIORELLA (J Low) shifted outwards when being struck with the whip and shortly after this incident, had to be checked by its rider when SIXDAY SEVENNIGHT hung in under pressure.

EN LAUDER had a tendency to shift inwards for the run to the finish resulting in the rider having to stop and straighten.

All riders returned to scale an average of 1 1/2kgs overweight due to the adverse weather conditions.

Jockey M Wepner, the rider of TAKE A BOW, reported that his horse did not act in the going.

Prior to the start of this race, MONSILI (Lou Ho) underwent a veterinary examination at the parade ring as the rider reported that he felt the gelding to be lame. After being examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon, MONSILI was passed fit to take its place in the field.

VECTIS (L Sofhan) was slow to begin.

Racing to the 900m, GHOST EMPEROR (HS Gill) began to race ungenerously in the going and had to be eased off the heels of GRAND PRINCE (S Ruzaini).

Over the final 200m, GHOST EMPEROR shifted in abruptly when being struck with the whip resulting in Jockey HS Gill having to stop and straighten.

All riders returned to scale an average of 1 1/2kgs overweight due to the adverse weather conditions.

The state of track was downgraded to "Soft" after the running of this race.

On jumping, GREY IS POWER (App SU Lim) jumped outwards, making contact with KIM ALBERT (S Ruzaini).

Approaching the 900m, LISTEN (R Burnett) had to shift out over the heels of SATELLITE KING (HS Gill) and as a result, THE OMEGA MAN (J De Souza) was momentarily inconvenienced.

Racing to the 400m, NEW YORK CITY (H Bukhari) shifted out wider on the track in an endeavor to gain a better going.

 RACE 6:  CLASSES 1 & 2 - 1200M

Trainer F Maynard was fined RM250 for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to declare the removal of cross-nose band from CALIFORNIA CAT within the prescribed time.

Prior to the running of this event, Trainer F Maynard approached the Stewards as he wished DARK MATTER (S Ruzaini) to be inspected by the Club Veterinary Surgeon as the gelding has previously had a tendon injury and that he was concerned with the track conditions. DARK MATTER was subsequently examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to take its place in the field.

REBEL FURY (App KC Wong), which cast its near-fore plate en route to the barrier, was replated, examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race.

Upon jumping, DEVONSHIRE (App WT Chung) shifted outwards and REBEL FURY (App KC Wong) shifted inwards resulting in SISTER IN LAW (M Wepner) being tightened for room and buffeted for a short distance.

YASTRZEMSKI (L Sofhan) raced 3 wide throughout the event.

App M Hanif, the rider of TERADA, reported that his horse did not act in the going.

At the conclusion of an inquiry and after taking evidence from Jockey S Salee, the rider of POLYGRAPH, Jockey Lou Ho, the rider of CRAZY CLUB and Jockey M Wepner, the rider of SISTER IN LAW, Jockey S Salee pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that approaching the 900m, he shifted in when insufficiently clear of CRAZY CLUB resulting in that horse being taken inwards onto SISTER IN LAW which was racing on the rails and had to be checked by its rider.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey S Salee’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two Malaysian race days with effect from 9 December 2015 and to expire on 13 December 2015, both dates inclusive, to be served consecutively to his suspension which expires on 8 December 2015. He was advised of his right of appeal (4:55pm).

 RACE 7:  CLASS 5 - 1200M

The Stewards acceded to Trainer F Maynard’s request to remove blinkers/pacifiers from TAVAN BOGD (S Ruzaini) due to the adverse weather conditions.

TAVAN BOGD was leaning against the barrier as the start was effected and was slow to begin.

Upon jumping, NUWA (SS Vanan) jumped outwards and made contact with JAI HO (App T Krisna).

FOX TREASURE (J Low) was slow to begin.

BUKIT SUBANG (App KP Lim) and TIDAL WAVE (L Sofhan) jumped awkwardly.

TIDAL WAVE shifted outwards in the home straight for a better going and finished wide on the track.

Racing over the final 200m, BUKIT SUBANG had a tendency to lay inwards resulting in TAVAN BOGD being hampered on two occasions and was not fully tested to the line as a result of this incident.

FOX TREASURE raced wide throughout the event.

Jockey J De Souza, the rider of EYE FOUR GET, reported that his horse did not act in the going.

 RACE 8:  CLASS 4 - 1200M

Prior to the running of this event, Trainer PS Kumaran approached the Stewards as he wished WINNING GENERATION (App SU Lim) to be inspected by the Club Veterinary Surgeon as he was concerned with the track conditions. WINNING GENERATION was subsequently examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to take its place in the field.

App WT Chung, the rider of CHATEAUNEUF DUPAPE, was fined RM1,000 under MRA Rule 121(7) for weighing in 1kg over his declared weight. The Stewards placed an embargo on App WT Chung for him not to accept any ride below 53kgs with immediate effect.

BEAUTY ADMIRE (L Sofhan) reared as the gates opened and was very slow to begin.

Over the concluding stages, App M Sathiaa, the rider of DUE HOME, lost the use of his off side rein, placing him at a disadvantage.

The Stewards adjourned an inquiry into the tactics that were adopted on DUE HOME (App M Sathiaa) in particular over the final 400m as Trainer F Maynard had left the course.

The Stewards adjourned an inquiry into the reasons why Trainer D Murphy had failed to submit the proper documentation for Trainer M Sukri’s syce to accompany TWO M AND M at the post-race urine collection area.
