MAGSTOCK staged a dramatic from-last-to-first victory in the Kranji Stakes C event here today, underlining his potential in the Four-Year-Old series in the months ahead.

Ridden by Michael Rodd, the New Zealand gelding started favourite and his backers must have been anxious when he was still second last of 11 runners turning for home.

MAGSTOCK then unleashed a terrific burst of speed to snatch victory by half length.

MAGSTOCK has already proven his ability to stay when second to GILT COMPLEX in a Kranji Stakes C - 2200m last November. Today's run was his second this season.

"There was good pace on paper today and that suited him down to the ground," said trainer Cliff Brown who purchased him for NZ$50,000 at the Ready-To-Run sale.

"Credit to the people who own him. This horse has had his runs well spaced as I thought he was always a bit immature, and their patience has been rewarded."

MAGSTOCK has started just 15 times since making his debut in mid-2015, winning four times.
