De Souza back in action with a double

PENANG: Jan 31, 2016

Jose De Souza returned to action after serving a suspension and quickly made up for lost time scoring a double astride EN LAUDER and FEISTY LEO here today.

The number 13 proved lucky for EN LAUDER when the New Zealand gelding broke through for his first win in the Maiden - 1400m hndicap.

The five-year-old had cost NZA$140,000 as a yearling but managed just one placing in seven starts in Singapore before moving to Malaysia.

FEISTY LEO, who was sold just five days ago, repaid new owners instantly in the Enrich Stakes A - 1700m event.

The Australian gelding won two of his first five outings in Malaysia before heading south where he was unbeaten in his first three starts at Kranji.

After eight more runs without winning, he was back in Malaysia and has picked up three more wins including today's success.
