Anandan lands comeback win

TANGIBLE ASSETS bounced back to form after some 22 months to cause an upset in the Class 5, Div 2 - 1700m handicap on the polytrack at Kranji here tonight. But was it another seasoned campaigner who was the talking point in the evening's programme.

DANNY, who finished second to DUAL IMPACT in the Class 5, Div 1 - 1700m event, was awarded the race in the steward's room when his rider Rueven Ravindra successfully lodged a protest for interference at the 200m.

It was the first win since December 2014 for the New Zealand eight-year-old and his seventh in 69 starts.

TANGIBLE ASSETS provided jockey Anandan Subramaniam with his first win since coming back from a disqualification and a long road back to racing action.

The seven-year-old Japanese gelding led an all-outsider finished for his fifth win in 51 starts to pay $77.
