Penang Turf Club (PNTC), acting under veterinary advice and for the welfare of all horses, has called of its meeting this Sunday and immediate future meetings in Malaysia are subject to veterinary advice.

The cancellation by PNTC is due to an outbreak of severe respiratory disease at the Perak and Selangor Turf Clubs.

As a result, the movement of all horses had been suspended with immediate effect until further notice.

PNTC said all future Penang on-course race meetings are subject to further veterinary advice.
