Jay Eff Express rolls to third consecutive win

Since coming over from Australia, JAY EFF EXPRESS has been improving with every run.

Ridden by Manoel Nunes for the third consecutive race, the gelding mastered joint favourite MIGHTY WARRIOR after a thrilling tussle before winning by a neck to record a hat-trick after finishing second in his Singapore debut.

JAY EFF EXPRESS won his racing debut as a two-year-old at Flemington and picked one more at Seymour from six starts before coming to Singapore.

And he has obviously thrived at Kranji.

"This horse was very gutsy today, especially with the big weight (57kgs). He’s a good honest horse and he has done a good job again, especially as it was now at Class 3 level," said trainer Steven Burridge.

JAY EFF EXPRESS won in Class 4 before claiming a Benchmark 67 event last time out.

"I won’t be stepping him up in distance at this stage," said Burridge.

The gelding should get a bit distance as his dam has won over 2200m.
