Huka Falls' impressive record gets better

HUKA FALLS improved on his already impressive record with a stylish win in the Kranji Stakes A - 1000m sprint on the polytrack at Kranji here today.

Fresh from victory in the Jockey Club Of Turkey Trophy (Open - 1200m) three weeks ago, the New Zealand gelding followed up with another top-notch display to win by one length, bringing his record to 12 wins and four placings in 25 starts.

HUKA FALLS was ridden for the first time by Manoel Nunes who earlier also combined with trainer Laurie Laxon to win on MCCONAUGHEY, another first ride for him on the gelding.

Nunes went on to complete a treble for the afternoon when he took the last race on MINI BOSS.

The treble brought Nunes' tally for the season to 93, thus enjoying a massive lead of 44 winners in the jockey's table.

The double by Laxon pushed him eight winners clear at the top of the trainer's table.
