Lisa Allpress grabs headlines with four wins

KUALA LUMPUR: Mar 29, 2014

Lisa Allpress, who has enjoyed much success at Sungei Besi in between meetings at Kranji where she is currently based, was the toast of the jockeys here today when she booted home four winners.

The quadruple came on the heels of her double here last Sunday.

Allpress, who first rode here in 2001 when known by her maiden name Mumby, combined with trainer Frank Maynard to land back to back races with TILSWORTH FREDDIE and KEEPITCONFIDENTIAL.

It was the second win four starts for the former and a maiden win in his eighth outing for the latter.

The pair then wound up the afternoon winning with FAIRBORN who has two wins last year.

Allpress, the champion New Zealand jockey in the 2011/12 season, also scored on BIG THING who has one win each in the past two seasons and only recently came under the care of trainer PS Kumaran.
