Initiation Plate

To encourage the importation of good, young, raced horses to Singapore, these races, with prizemoney of $65,000 each, allow young horses to compete amongst themselves on equal terms and not against older horses at handicap conditions.

For horses not older than four years of age and have not more than 8 starts in Singapore/Malaysia.
For horses that have not won a race in the two years prior to nomination.
To be run under Weight-For-Age conditions.
Fillies and mares will be given a 1.5kg allowance.

Novice, Graduation and Progress Races

These races will be open to horses not older than 5 years old and the allocation of weights for these races will be by the number of wins (less weight-for-age allowances) as follows:

Benchmark Races
Prizemoney for the Benchmark races will be based on the prizemoney under the existing class system. When the benchmark is higher than the mid-point between the upper limits of two classes, the prizemoney for the higher class will be paid. When the benchmark is lower than or equal to the mid-point between the upper limits of two classes, the prizemoney for the lower class will be paid.
